Action From Stillness
Our minds are like snowstorms - the mind-flakes, thousands and thousands of ephemeral thoughts that go here and there, with seeming randomness, led by one association after another after another.
Attempting to use our will to still or silence this mind is like trying to shovel the walkway in the midst of the storm!
Rather, if we lean into that inner space where stillness and peace reside, we can observe the swirling thoughts just as we look out a window at the flakes swirling about, without getting caught up in the maelstrom. In that inner space of peace and stillness, clarity is possible, judgment is possible, and choices about the just direction of action can be ascertained to the benefit of ourselves and the world in which we find ourselves.
Further, the more we can anchor in that place of Peace, the more that that influence flows out to others, those we know and even those we know not.
May it be so. May all be blessed.

This may be among the simplest most straightforward, and sublime evocations of Stillness/Silence I’ve seen of yours.
Very important writing. Looking forward to more inspiring writing like this.
Beautifully said, dear Karun Das!
